Is it necessary to cover one’s Satr when alone in a room?
Answer:
Yes, it is necessary (wajib) to cover one’s minimum nakedness (between the navel and knee for both men and women), even when alone. The exception is when there is a need, such as taking a shower, relieving oneself, or changing one’s clothes. Even in such situations, it is recommended to minimize the exposure.
Furthermore, although it is permissible for spouses to look at any part of their partner’s body, it is disliked that they become completely naked during cohabitation. They should cover themselves with a sheet or covering.
Narrated Bahz bin Hakim: "My father narrated to me from my grandfather, who said: 'I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Regarding our 'Awrah, what of it must we cover, and what of it may we leave?" He said: "Protect your 'Awrah except from your wife or what your right hand possesses."' He said: "What about a man with another man?" He said: "If you are able to not let anyone see it, then do so." I said: "What about a man when he is alone?" He said: "Allah is most deserving of being shy from Him." [ Tirmidhi]

Gold or Silver Utensils
Question - Is it permissible to eat and drink from gold or silver utensils?
Answer: Abi Laila narrates that while Sayyidina Hudhaifa R.A was at Mada'in, when he asked for water. The chief of the village brought to him a silver vessel. Hudhaifa threw it away and said,
"I have thrown it away because I told him not to use it, but he has not stopped using it.
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us to wear clothes of silk or silk brocade, and to drink in gold or silver utensils, and said,
'These things are for them (unbelievers) in this world and for you (Muslims) in the Hereafter.' " [Bukhari]
Hence, it is not permissible for men or women to eat or drink from utensils made from gold or silver.
However, if a utensil is merely coated with gold or silver then it will be permissible to use it.
Furthermore, utensils that are made of materials other than gold and silver but are embellished with pieces of gold or silver can only be used for eating and drinking with the condition that, the main part of the body intended to be used with such a utensil, does not touch the gold and silver.
Therefore, in a cup embellished with gold and silver, the condition is that the mouth does not touch the gold and silver.
In a plate, tray, and jug embellished with gold and silver, the condition is that the hand does not touch the gold and silver.
If this condition is met, then it will be permissible to eat and drink from such a utensil.

Brazillian Wax
Is it permissible to have a Brazillian wax or laser hair removal of the entire body at a salon?
Answer: At the outset, one should understand the importance of modesty.
“Iman consists of sixty-odd branches. And modesty is a very important branch of Iman.” Bukhari
Once Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم was asked about the awrah: “What should be covered and what can be left open?” Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم replied: “Do not expose your awrah except your spouse.” Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم was further asked: “What if some people are in the presence of others?” Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم replied: “If you are able that nobody sees your awrah then do not let anybody see it.” Abu Dawood
The Awrah of a male is the area between the navel and the knees.
The Awrah of a Muslim woman unto another Muslim woman is also the area between the navel and the knees.
The Awrah of a Muslim woman unto a non-Muslim woman is the entire body besides the hands, feet and face.
Hence, it is not permissible for a male or female to expose the area between the navel and the knees for the purpose of waxing or laser hair removal.
Furthermore, if the person doing the waxing or laser for a Muslim female, is a non-Muslim female - then it will not be permissible for her to do the waxing or laser of the Muslim female’s legs, arms, or any other part of the body, except the face, hands, and feet because a Non-Muslim female is only allowed to see the hands, face, and feet of a Muslim lady.
It is also not permissible for a strange female to do waxing or laser for a strange male or for a strange male to do waxing or laser for a strange female.
Added to this, one should abstain from going to salons as these are places where many violations of the laws of Almighty Allah take place.

Halloween Parties
Is it permissible to attend a Halloween costume party?
Answer: Virtually all Halloween traditions are based either in an ancient pagan culture, or Christianity. From an Islamic point of view, they all are forms of idolatry (shirk). As Muslims, our celebrations should be ones that honour and uphold our faith and beliefs. How can we worship only Allah, the Creator, if we participate in activities that are based in pagan rituals, divination, and the spirit world?
Celebrating Halloween in any form is impermissible and against the teachings of Islam.
Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said,
“The one who imitates any people is amongst them.” [Abu Dawood]
The famous Sahabah, Abdullah ibn Amr
“Whoever resides in the lands of the non-Arabs and then celebrates their religious occasions (such as Nairuz and Mihrajan – Persian holidays) and emulates their practices and thereafter dies in such a condition, shall be raised with them on the Day of Judgement.” Sunnan Kubra
