Question: When should the Takbeer be recited on the day of Eidul Fitr?

Answer: It is Sunnah for males to recite the Takbeer while proceeding to the venue for the Eid Salaah. It is advisable that the Takbeer be recited softly on the day of Eidul Fitr.

The words of the Takbīr are:
اَللهُ أكْبَرُ اَللهُ أكْبَرُ، لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَاللهُ أكْبَرُ، اَللهُ أكْبَرُ وَلِلّهِ الْحَمْد
Translation: (Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, there is no god except Allah and Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, and all praise be to Allah).

Question: Can Eid Salaah be performed at home?

Answer: Due to the current lockdown, Eid Salaah may be performed at home. The minimum requirement of people are, 4 mature males; i.e. the Imam and 3 followers.

(All other requirements of Jumuah are also applicable)

Question: How do I make amends for past years that I did not pay Sadaqatul Fitr?

Answer: Firstly, make Taubah for neglecting an obligation.

Secondly, discharge the outstanding amount immediately.

For each missed year, you will discharge the current Sadaqatul Fitr amount.

Question: Does a father have to pay Sadaqatul Fitr on behalf of his children?

Answer: Yes the father will pay the Sadaqatul Fitr on behalf of his minor children who are dependent on him.

However, if a minor owns his or her own money, then the Sadaqtul Fitr may be taken from that money.
