Question: When should the Takbeer be recited on the day of Eidul Fitr?

Answer: It is Sunnah for males to recite the Takbeer while proceeding to the venue for the Eid Salaah. It is advisable that the Takbeer be recited softly on the day of Eidul Fitr.

The words of the Takbīr are:
اَللهُ أكْبَرُ اَللهُ أكْبَرُ، لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَاللهُ أكْبَرُ، اَللهُ أكْبَرُ وَلِلّهِ الْحَمْد
Translation: (Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, there is no god except Allah and Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, and all praise be to Allah).
