Protection From Insincerity
Question: How do I protect myself from ostentation and insincerity in my actions and deeds?
Answer: Sayyidina Abu Musa al Ash’ary RA narrated that one day the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said; ‘O people! Fear polytheism, for, it is more concealed than the crawling of an ant.’ Someone asked; ‘O Messenger of Allah, how do we protect ourselves when it is more concealed than the crawling of an ant.’ Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said; “Read the following:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِكَ شَيْئًا نَعْلَمُهُ ، وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لَا نَعْلَمُهُ "
“O Allah! We seek refuge in you lest we associate with you anything knowingly. And we seek your forgiveness for that what we do not know.” (Ahmed)
The above Dua is to be recited three times daily.

Takbeer Tahrima Audibly
Question: A person started his Salaah, he lifted his hands for Takbeer Tahrima (the first Allahu Akbar) but did not actually utter the words Allahu Akbar, he simply said it in his mind. Is the Salaah valid?
Answer: No, the Salaah will not be valid. Takbeer Tahrima is amongst the Fara’id of Salaah. It is necessary that the utterance of the Takbeer Tahrima be audible enough for one to hear oneself. It can’t be simply said in one’s mind.

How To Carry The Deceased
DAILY FIQH
Question: How should the bier of the deceased be carried?
Answer: Four people should carry the four legs of the bier. They will walk briskly without shaking the deceased.
After taking a few steps, the person who is carrying the bier with his right shoulder by the right shoulder of deceased will move back, so that his right shoulder is now by the right foot of the deceased.
Thereafter, he will move to the front on the other side, so that his left shoulder is by the left shoulder of the deceased. He will then move to the back, so that his left shoulder is by the left foot of the deceased. This is the prescribed method of carrying the bier.
