Reading WhatsApp & Social Media Messages At Work
DAILY FIQH
Question: Is it permissible for an employee to read personal WhatsApp and social media messages during work hours?
Answer: If an employee has completed his tasks and is sitting idle, then it will be permissible to read personal messages. However, if an employee has not fulfilled his allocated tasks or reading messages disturbs his work, then it will not be permissible to read personal messages.
The employer is paying the employee for his time, hence, the employee is obliged to dedicate his time, entirely, to his employer.

5 Sunnahs of Adhan
DAILY FIQH
Question: What are the Sunnahs related to the Adhan?
Answer: There are five Sunnahs regarding the Adhan;
1. Reply to the Adhan by repeating the words of the Mu’addhin, except when replying to Hayya alas salaat and Hayya alal falaah, one should say La hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil aliyyil azeem
2. Recite Salawaat (Salutations Upon The Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) after the Adhan.
3. Read the Dua asking for al Wasila:
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هذِهِ الدَّعوةِ التَّامَّةِ ، والصَّلاةِ الْقَائِمةِ، آت مُحَمَّداً الْوسِيلَةَ ، والْفَضَيِلَة، وابْعثْهُ مقَامًا محْمُوداً
الَّذي وعَدْتَه
“O Allah, Rabb of the perfect call and established Salaah, grant Muhammed صلى الله عليه وسلم Al Wasila and superiority, and raise him to the praiseworthy position which you promised him.” (Bukhari)
4. Then read this Dua;
“I testify that there is none worthy of worship besides Allah, He is one and has no partner, and that Muhammed is His servant and Messenger, I am pleased with Allah as my Sustainer, Muhammed صلى الله عليه وسلم as a Messenger and Islam as my religion.” (Muslim)
5. Make any Dua between Adhan and Iqamah, as Duas are readily accepted at this time. [A Translation and Commentary of Riyad Al Salihin Vol2/Page 359]

Wudhu Duas In Bathroom With Toilet
DAILY FIQH
Question: When making Wudhu in a bathroom that has a toilet in it, can one recite the Duas of Wudhu?
Answer; One should not verbally read the Duas of Wudhu in a bathroom that has a toilet which is not partitioned (with a wall, barrier, etc) from the bathroom area. Instead, one should read the pre-Wudhu and post-Wudhu Du’as before entering or after exiting this type of a bathroom. However, if one forgets to read the Duas before entering, then one may read them in one’s mind.
