Question: If the body or clothing is soiled with impurity, what is the method of purification?

Answer: If the impurity is visible, then the body or clothing must be washed until the body of the impurity is removed. 

If the impurity cannot be seen (urine or filthy water), then it must be washed until the person’s overwhelming feeling is that it has been purified.  (At-Tashil ad-Daruru Part 1: Page 40)
