Question: What is the Musabbihat and when should it be read?

Answer: Al Musabbihat refers to five Surahs : 

(1) Al Hadid - Surah No 57;

(2) Al Hashar - Surah No 59;

(3) As Saff - Surah No 61;

(4) Jumu'ah - Surah No 62 &

(5) At Taghabun - Surah No 64 ( Ma'riful Quraan Vol 8: Page 305)

Sayyiduna Irbad Ibn Sariyah R.A. narrated that the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam used to recite Al Musabbihat before he went to sleep and said: "In them there is a verse that is more meritorious than a thousand verses."  Abu Dawood
